These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Noding (the "Service") and form a binding agreement between you and Noding (the "Provider"; sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea, represented by Kang Seongjin). The Terms reflect the content standards and reporting mechanisms required for user-generated content apps across major app distribution platforms, including Apple's App Review Guideline 4.1.5 / 1.2 and Google Play Developer Program Policies, as well as the standard EULA addenda applicable to each store.

1. Definitions
- Provider: Noding, a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea. Representative: Kang Seongjin. Business Registration No.: 439-16-02963.
- Service: The Noding mobile app, website, and related APIs.
- User: Any natural person who accepts these Terms and uses the Service.
- Node: A keyword-based anonymous discussion space created on demand.
- Content: Any text, image, link, or other material posted or transmitted by a user.
- Interest Map: The graph of nodes a user has visited or interacted with, together with related activity data. The Interest Map is the core data asset of the Service.
- Pseudonymization: Processing that replaces direct identifiers with pseudonymous IDs so that individuals cannot be identified without additional information. Pseudonymized data remains personal data.
- Anonymization: Processing that, by reasonably available means, prevents identification of individuals. Data that has undergone the K-anonymity and differential privacy safeguards described in the Privacy Policy qualifies as anonymized.
2. Acceptance and Changes
These Terms take effect when we publish them in the Service. We may revise them to reflect changes in law or in the Service, and will give notice at least 7 days before the effective date (30 days if the change is adverse to you) via in-app notice and this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you may terminate the agreement by uninstalling the app and requesting deletion of your data.
3. Eligibility and Formation
The Service is available to individuals who are 14 years of age or older. By confirming your age at first launch and agreeing to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, you form a binding agreement with the Provider. You represent that the age you provide is accurate and accept responsibility for any consequences of false information. If we learn that a user is under 14, we will promptly delete that user's account and data.
4. Description of the Service
The Service offers:
- Instantly created discussion spaces ("nodes") from keyword input
- Real-time chat, posts, and comments within each node
- A personal interest map that connects the nodes you visit
- AI-assisted trending topics
- Reporting, blocking, and hiding tools
- Service push notifications (comment replies, likes, activity alerts; based on OS notification permission)
We may modify, add, or discontinue features to improve quality, strengthen security, or comply with law.
5. Anonymous Identity and Local ID
You may use the Service without registering. At first launch, the app generates a random UUID v4 on your device (the "localId"), which the server uses to identify you. If you uninstall the app, reinstall it, or switch devices, a new localId is generated; your previous posts, interest map, and block list will not be recoverable. By using the Service you acknowledge and accept this anonymous model.
6. Your Obligations and Prohibited Conduct
You agree to comply with applicable law, these Terms, and the Community Guidelines. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- Using another person's identifier, or circumventing enforcement by creating multiple identities
- Hacking, reverse-engineering, scraping, or interfering with the Service's source code, network, or database
- Using bots, macros, or other automation for bulk posting, viewing, or reporting
- Impersonating the Provider, its staff, or other users
- Advertising, spamming, phishing, or distributing malware
- Any other act that disrupts the Service or interferes with other users
7. User-Generated Content (UGC) Terms
You may not post, transmit, or share objectionable or unlawful content, including:
- Content promoting or glorifying violence, self-harm, suicide, terrorism, or extremism
- Hate speech and discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, disability, age, or similar characteristics
- Sexually explicit content and any sexual depiction of minors
- Doxxing, defamation, harassment, or personal attacks
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, or other third-party rights
- Spam, unsolicited advertising, gambling promotions, phishing, or malware
- Impersonation or deceptive information
- Any other content that is illegal or promotes illegal activity
We may remove, block, or hide such content without prior notice, and may suspend or permanently restrict repeat offenders. We cooperate with law enforcement requests pursuant to applicable law.
8. Reporting, Blocking, and Enforcement
- Report: Nodes, posts, comments, chat messages, and users can be reported with a reason and optional description.
- Block (hide): You can prevent a specific user's posts, comments, and chat messages from appearing in your view.
- Review timeline: Our operations team reviews reports within 24 hours and takes appropriate action.
- Enforcement ladder: Minor violations may result in warnings or content removal. Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary suspension. Severe or repeated severe violations may result in permanent restriction.
- Appeals: You may appeal any enforcement action by emailing legal@noding.app. We respond within a reasonable time.
9. Ownership and Licenses
You retain ownership of the Content you create.
You grant the Provider a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to reproduce, store, display, distribute, create derivative works of, translate, and use as training data your Content and related metadata — including but not limited to dwell time, changes in language or context, topical timeliness, navigation paths between nodes, interaction patterns, and all connected data — for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Service and for AI research and development.
This license includes:
- Training and operating the Provider's own recommendation, moderation, matching, and generative systems
- AI model research and development using interest maps, navigation paths, dwell patterns, content embeddings, and related signals
- Research collaborations and data provision to research institutions and AI partners, based on pseudonymized, aggregated, or anonymized data
Sharing or licensing data to third parties follows the procedures described in §2.B, §2.C, §7, and §8 of the Privacy Policy (pseudonymization or anonymization safeguards, separate consent where required, and a right to withdraw where mandated by the law of your country of residence).
This license ends with respect to future training and use when you delete your Content. However, forms already incorporated into trained model parameters, as well as retention for backups, report handling, and legal compliance, remain unaffected.
10. Service Changes and Suspension
We may restrict or suspend all or part of the Service when any of the following occur:
- Force majeure events such as network or power outages, or natural disasters
- Scheduled maintenance, repair, or restructuring
- Requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities
- A confirmed violation of these Terms
If we decide to fully discontinue the Service, we will give at least 30 days' advance notice.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for:
- Content authored by other users that you encounter on the Service
- Losses caused by your own actions (loss of localId, failure to back up data, etc.)
- Unrealized revenue, reputation, or relationships expected from using the Service
- Outages or failures attributable to carriers or third-party providers (Apple, Expo, etc.)
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence. Nor do these Terms limit any rights granted to you as a consumer by mandatory provisions of the law of your country or region of residence.
12. Additional Terms for App Distribution Platforms
Depending on the platform from which you installed the Service (Apple App Store, Google Play, etc.), the following common terms apply together with the platform-specific addendum.
12-1. Common Terms
- These Terms are concluded solely between you and the Provider, not the app store operator (Apple Inc., Google LLC, etc.). The Provider, not the store operator, is responsible for the Service and its content.
- These Terms do not grant you usage rights greater than those granted by the app store under its own terms of service.
- The Provider, not the app store operator, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service, including maintenance, support, product liability, consumer protection, and intellectual property infringement claims.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist-supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
12-2. Apple App Store Addendum (iOS Users)
If you obtained the Service through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply in addition to the Common Terms above.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.
- The Service is provided subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service and Apple Media Services Terms.
12-3. Google Play Addendum (Android Users)
If you obtained the Service through Google Play, the following additional terms apply in addition to the Common Terms above.
- The Service is distributed under the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement and the Google Play Developer Program Policies, and you must comply with those policies.
- Google LLC is not a party to the provision of the Service; the Provider is solely responsible for the Service.
- On certain devices, push notifications are delivered through Google Play Services (Firebase Cloud Messaging). A push token is transmitted to Google for that purpose; see the Privacy Policy for details.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Mandatory Consumer Rights Prevail. Any mandatory consumer protection rights granted to you by the law of your country or region of residence — including but not limited to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and consumer protection directives, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA (United States), and the Consumer Contract Act (Japan) — are not limited by any provision of these Terms.
Dispute Resolution. The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes amicably. If no resolution is reached, the Seoul Central District Court of the Republic of Korea shall have jurisdiction as the court of first instance. This is a non-exclusive jurisdiction clause; as a consumer, you also retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your domicile, residence, or any other jurisdiction permitted by the law of your country of residence.
14. General Provisions
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- Assignment. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms to a successor. You may not assign your rights without our prior written consent.
- Language. These Terms are provided in Korean and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the two language versions, the Korean version shall prevail.
- Entire Agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Provider regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior oral or written understandings in conflict with these Terms. The Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and other policies referenced herein remain in effect alongside these Terms.
