Noding

Community Guidelines

Noding is a place where people gather around a single topic — no profile, no followers. For strangers to talk comfortably, a small set of shared rules matters. These guidelines apply alongside the Terms of Service. Violations may lead to content removal, temporary restrictions, or a permanent ban.

The following can lead to content removal or an account restriction even after a single violation.

2-1. Harm toward others

• Hate speech and discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, or age
• Targeted harassment, doxxing, or repeated unwanted messaging
• Content that encourages or enables violence, self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
• Praise or promotion of terrorism, extremism, or mass violence

2-2. Inappropriate sexual content

• Graphic depictions of sexual activity or explicit body imagery
• Non-consensual sexual imagery, including revenge-style material
• Any sexualized depiction of minors, real or drawn or AI-generated — this is reported to authorities and leads to immediate, permanent removal under Korean and international law.

2-3. Fraud, manipulation, and spam

• Impersonation, false identity claims, or pretending to represent a media outlet or agency
• Phishing, wallet-draining schemes, malicious links, or malware
• Pyramid schemes, gambling promotion, predatory lending, or illegal marketplace activity (weapons, drugs, regulated medicines)
• Bulk-posting the same message across many nodes
• Manipulation of votes, recommendations, or reporting systems

• Posting copyrighted or trademarked material without authorization, or linking to pirated copies
• Sharing someone's likeness, private messages, contact info, or home address without consent
• Leaking confidential or non-public information

2-5. Platform abuse

• Hacking, reverse-engineering, or unauthorized API access
• Filing false or coordinated reports
• Using multiple localIds to evade a restriction

4. How to report and block

• Report a node: the ⋯ menu in the node header → Report
• Report a post: the ⋯ menu on the post → Report
• Report a comment: long-press the comment → Report
• Block (hide) a user: Profile tab (avatar) → top-right ⋯ → Hide user
• Urgent cases: for suspected child sexual abuse material, imminent self-harm, or criminal planning, email support@noding.app with "URGENT" in the subject line.

We review reports within 24 hours. Clearly serious violations are removed immediately; ambiguous cases are reviewed with context.

5. Enforcement ladder

1. Content removal or hiding: content that does not fit the guidelines is removed.
2. Warning: we notify the user of the reason.
3. Temporary restriction: posting and chatting are restricted for 24 hours to 7 days.
4. Permanent restriction: use of the service is permanently restricted. Severe violations — such as child sexual content or terrorism praise — can trigger a permanent ban on first offense.

6. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was wrong, email support@noding.app. Please include the localId or nickname at the time of the action, the context of the content, and the reason you are appealing. This helps us review quickly.

7. About automated moderation

Noding runs pattern-based filters and AI moderation at the node (topic) creation step. If a node title is flagged as NSFW or otherwise sensitive, it is excluded from recommendations and search.

Individual posts, comments, and chat messages are not pre-blocked automatically. Instead, we rely on user reports and operator review (typically within 24 hours). AI is not perfect, so legitimate content can sometimes be restricted. If that happens, the appeal path above triggers human review.
