the worst is memorizing a barista's name and feeling like that counts lol

worst part is laughing at something and having nobody to tell.

the couch thing is real but what got me was when i started saying good morning to my dog like he was my roommate. he is my roommate. Cooper is my only roommate lol

moved here not knowing anyone and the scariest part wasn't being alone, it was getting used to it. like at some point i stopped waiting for it to get better and just... started scheduling my own week around myself. not sure if that's growth or cope tbh

ok so it's been four months and my social life is literally just me, Cooper, and whoever is working the register at the coffee shop downstairs. like I moved here thinking I'd somehow just... meet people? the way it happens in movies? instead I've downloaded three apps, gone to two 'social hobby nights,' and made zero actual friends. Cooper made six friends at the dog park this morning though so at least one of us is thriving. I don't even know what I expected honestly. it's just weird being surrounded by people and still eating dinner alone every night. anyway.
